Yuma Senior Living Resident is Interviewed After a Month of Residency

Recently our Activity Director sat down with one of our new residents at Yuma Senior Living.  This resident who moved into our community from her trailer located in the foothills has quickly formed strong friendships with a couple of our longer-term residents and we took notice.  Below is an excerpt from this resident interview.

YSL Activity Director: Good day! Today, we have the pleasure of sitting down with Ms. Anderson, a vibrant senior who has recently chosen Yuma Senior Living as her new home. Ms. Anderson, can you share with us how you managed to build such strong connections with fellow seniors in our new community in such a short amount of time?

Resident, Ms. Anderson: Thank you for asking me! Moving to this senior community has been a delightful experience. What really helped in forming these close friendships was the shared sense of camaraderie among us. We all have diverse backgrounds and life stories, but there's a common thread of understanding and appreciation for each other's experiences. Whether it's during our morning walks, communal activities, or simply spending time in the common areas, we've had ample opportunities to bond over shared interests and mutual respect.

YSL Activity Director: That sounds wonderful! Can you tell us about any specific activities or events that have played a significant role in bringing everyone together?

Resident, Ms. Anderson: Certainly! The community organizes a variety of activities, from group fitness classes to game nights and even arts and craft sessions. These events provide the perfect platform for us to engage, share laughter, and create lasting memories. One event that stands out was a storytelling afternoon where we all took turns sharing anecdotes from our lives. It was heartwarming to learn more about each person's journey, and it deepened our connection. Overall, the sense of community here has truly enriched my life, and I feel incredibly fortunate to have found such wonderful friends.

At Yuma Senior Living many of our new residents learn to love all we have to offer.  Simply give them a call at (928) 388-6858, and their team will schedule an onsite tour at your convenience.
